| Mark Brockway swims the Aquashere Powered Long Swim event in aid of Barton Scouts & Guides New HQ |

Mark completed a 3.8km swim at Box End Lake in May 2010 as he was unable to compete in the Chester Marathon due to injury while training. His time was 1 hour 3 minutes which he was pleasantly surprised with! Apart from the weeds and stupid hat wearing, Mark said it was a fantastic experience in aid of a very worthy cause. As he said whilst he acknowledge its no marathon feat, he hope his overall efforts had justified the money his sponsors had contributed. The management committee are indebted to Mark for the fantastic £964 that he raised.

| Do you shop online? If you do, then you can help us raise funds for the new Scout & Guide building at no extra cost to yourself. Over 150 of the UK's biggest and best known retailers are participating in the easyfundraising scheme. |
- Open www.easyfundraising.org.uk in a new browser window (click the link above).
- Click the 'register now' button on the homepage.
- Select 'Barton Scouts & Guides Headquarters Management Committee' from the drop down list.
- Enter your Name, email address and password.
- Log into your account using your username and password (these will be emailed to you encase you forget them).
- Finally, after you have logged in, simply select the retailer you wish to use and you will be taken to taken directly to their web site to make your purchase directly with them.
- Each participating retailer will donate a percentage of the cost of your order to us. Donations range from 0.5% to 15% of the purchase price.
